Rose Ballerine Dreams ~ Louis Vuitton Unboxing ♡

“The best things in life are free. The second best are very, very expensive…” ~ Coco Chanel ♡

Whilst I often long to become a prima ballerina, I also spend time daydreaming about pretty pink things and today I thought I would unbox my recent purchases from Louis Vuitton. I have chosen to collect luxury pieces not for status but for self-expression. The design and quality of these pieces possess a unique quality that makes me feel like a princess. It is not my intention to brag in this post and I purchased both items with my own money which I worked very hard for.

I have dreamed about making my first designer purchase ever since I was a little girl and in April I picked up the silk scarf of my dreams…

There are so many brands I adore; Chanel, Dior, Miu Miu, Georges Hobeika, Giambattista Valli, Valentino, Georges Chakra, Ralph & Russo and Oscar de la Renta to name a few…

However, there is something classic and effortlessly chic about Louis Vuitton. I have always lusted after their luggage sets (how dreamy is this baby pink case?) but due to their hefty price tag, I knew my first purchase would have to be something more affordable.

When I walked into Louis Vuitton I felt as though I had transformed into Rebecca Bloomwood from Sophie Kinsella’s Confessions of Shopaholic.

“You’d wear it with everything, you would walk into that Ellette interview confident, and poised, the girl in the green scarf…” ♡

As Rebecca becomes “the girl in the green scarf”, I became “the girl in the pink scarf” whilst purchasing the ‘Monogram Confidential Bandeau’ in ‘light pink.’

Purchasing the scarf in-store was a whimsical experience I shall never forget. My mother and I had just been for tea and macarons at Patisserie Valerie and we wandered over to Louis Vuitton

I picked up the scarf, felt the soft caress of silk on my skin and instantly knew it had to be mine. Receiving one of their iconic orange bags tied with a blue ribbon made me feel like a princess!

Unboxing the scarf at home allowed me to re-live the whole experience. The scarf was nestled in the sweetest little box with a pull-out draw. Once opening this draw I found an abundance of tissue paper and then… the scarf!

The bandeau is adorned with emblematic Louis Vuitton details which includes… leather straps, metal chains and padlocks, set on the background of the iconic monogram pattern. All these features are reminiscent of the brands original collection of luxury trunks in 1854.

The scarf is 100% silk, and makes the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. It can be styled in an abundance of ways; as a handbag accessory, a belt, a bag handle, a hair bow, neck scarf and so many more!

“When I wear a silk scarf, I never feel so definitely like a woman, a beautiful woman…” ~ Audrey Hepburn ♡

Even if you aren’t planning to purchase a silk scarf from Louis Vuitton, I think it’s great to have one in your collection. They exude an old hollywood glamour which I’m always hoping to re-create. So many beautiful and iconic women wore silk scarves; Audrey, Grace and Jackie Kennedy to name but a few.

Once purchasing my first piece from Louis Vuitton I most definitely caught the designer bug as it wasn’t long until I made my second purchase…

I purchased the Zippy Coin Purse in the shade ‘Rose Ballerine’ as a little birthday treat.

You can never expect anything less than perfection from Louis Vuitton. I felt a surge of joy when I held the little blue ribbon tied orange box in my hands.

The purse was encased in a miniature dust bag which is too cute for words and I squealed with delight whilst unwrapping it. When purchasing the silk scarf, I experienced the delight of seeing it in store. Unboxing the purse was a special surprise as I hadn’t seen it in person.

The purse is coated in the glossy monogram vernis leather. This leather is very special and if you look closely, it appears to be shining with glitter pigments.

However, through research I discovered that this type of leather is extremely delicate and prone to colour transfer. This means that wearing darker colours could ruin the piece as pigments from the garments can rub into the soft, delicate design. Thankfully, I only wear pink and white so I shouldn’t have this problem. However, it’s important to keep this in mind if you’re considering making a purchase.

The purse has four individual card slots and two compartments for coins; this is the perfect size to fit all my essentials. The gold details are so dreamy and I can’t wait to style the purse with a ‘Rose Ballerine’ Alma BB someday….

I hope you enjoyed this luxury unboxing angels! I have a new video on my YouTube channel where I feature some detailed clips of both items.

I’m sending lots of love to you all and I’m wishing you a week filled with candy floss and fondant fancies 🌸🍥🌸

lots of love from,
