“The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing”
Hello blossom buns! March has arrived and the first day of Spring is just a few bunny hops away.
The remnants of winter still linger in the air but the promise of brighter days appears in the budding of pink blossoms on the cherry trees near my home. Catching a glimpse of this beautiful sight reminded me that this is a time for growth and re-birth.
A few weeks ago I visited a local farm with my mother; it was so soothing to be amongst the sweet sheep and baby bunnies. The experience helped me practice mindfulness by allowing each thought to pass me by like the fluffy clouds in the sky. Gradually, I am learning to let go of the thoughts that seek to hinder me in my attempts to flourish. I truly believe that spending time with animals can help us find our inner peace.
Soon I shall have an array of Easter recipes to share with you! I can’t wait to make hot cross buns, mini egg cupcakes and Easter Simnel Cakes. However, today I am writing about a few pretty pieces I purchased earlier this year in time for spring’s arrival.
Whether it’s picking up a new candle in a dreamy floral fragrance, buying a dress that makes you feel like a fairy or a bunch of fresh flowers, there are so many ways that you can brighten up your life for the sweetest season of all. So put away your cosy cashmere knits and opt for pastel tea dresses, soft satin bows, sweet sun hats and imagine you’re performing in La fille mal gardée!
‘Blush Bouquet’ Candle|Yankee Candle
Spring flowers make my heart happy and when I set my sights on The Sunday Brunch Collection from Yankee Candle I fell in love.
This limited edition range has the dreamiest candles you could ever imagine! I was spoilt for choice with fragrances such as ‘Floral Candy’, ‘Sweet Morning Rose’ and ‘Belgian Waffles’. However, I decided to purchase the ‘Blush Bouquet’ candle.
With notes of cherry blossom, pink peony, lily and sweet pea, this candle combines everything I adore! I haven’t lit it yet because it’s just so precious but I know that when I do my bedroom will smell like a fresh spring day when the cherry trees have blossomed.
‘Mary’ Dress|Gal Meets Glam Collection
A charming spring sundress can transform your entire wardrobe and I felt so lucky to receive the Gal Meets Glam ‘Mary’ dress.
This would be the perfect piece to wear whilst hosting an Easter brunch and the pattern name ‘Petal Pearl’, is the dreamiest!
The dress is made from a soft blush fabric which is adorned with a cherry blossom print.
The 3/4 length puffy sleeves are very vintage inspired and remind me of Cinderella.
‘Tuloula’ Pleated Lace High Neck Top|Ted Baker
I can’t resist a Ted Baker discount and this dreamy top has been on my wish list for such a long time. I was initially drawn to the elegant lace trim and beautiful pale pink shade.
I can imagine pairing the top with this scallop detail mini skirt which I received for my birthday last year. Ted Baker always add stunning details which make their pieces so classic; I particularly adore the rose gold button fastening at the back.
Blush Pink Roses
With the arrival of spring comes the emergence of dainty floral displays and the prettiest blooms you ever did see! Unfortunately, it is not yet peony season but whilst I wait patiently for April to arrive, I thought I would treat myself to a bouquet of soft pink roses.
Although I adore LUSH, I have recently fallen in love with Yorkshire Soap Co. They have the most unique collection of soaps, bath truffles and bath bombs that would make any girly-girls heart sing! I thought I would share the pretty pink packaging with you as it’s too cute for words. The pink box that the gifts are arranged in reminds me of something from a Parisian patisserie and I just adore the little pink bow.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about the sweet items I have collected over the past few months. I would love to know if you have purchased anything recently for the changing of the season? Or anything you have on your spring wish list!
Lots of love from
