“In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” ~ Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen ♡
Happy Valentine’s Day little cherubs! Love is all around and blossoming like delicate rose buds in the spring.
Although today is primarily focused on romantic love, the relationship you have with yourself is just important!
As you may have gathered from my previous blog post, I think Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to treat yourself. Whether this is achieved by baking a batch of rose-scented cupcakes, reading Pride and Prejudice, purchasing a bouquet of soft pink roses, writing a love letter and sealing it with a wax stamp, using a product from LUSH’s Valentine’s collection or watching The Notebook with a box of heart-shaped macarons, make sure that you allocate some time this week to look after yourself.
I have already purchased this adorable bow purse from Ted Baker as it has been on my wish list for such a long time.
Today I’m sharing a few ways I like to treat myself on Valentine’s Day. Make sure that you’re as cosy as possible; snuggle up underneath a pink fluffy throw with a marshmallow hot chocolate and a gooey chocolate chip cookie because you deserve it 🌸🍪🌸

Soft Pink Roses ♡
Light pink peonies are the key to my heart but for Valentine’s Day I make an exception for roses. Whether you decide to purchase a bouquet for yourself or send a few hints to your loved one, I think an assortment of soft pink roses is the ideal gift. Aside from fresh roses, the trend of purchasing a box of eternal roses sounds like a lovely idea! I adore the notion of having a set of flowers that could last a year or more! The ones I am dreaming of are this darling assortment of ‘Bridal Pink’ roses in a ‘Rosé Gold’ box.
“She was more than human to me. She was a Fairy, a Sylph, I don’t know what she was – anything that no one ever saw, and everything that everybody ever wanted. I was swallowed up in an abyss of love in an instant. There was no pausing on the brink; no looking down, or looking back; I was gone, headlong, before I had sense to say a word to her.” ~ David Copperfield by Charles Dickens ♡
A Romantic Lipstick ♡
Applying a pretty lipstick instantly boots my mood and whether you prefer to wear a romantic red or a soft baby pink, make sure to choose something you feel comfortable in.
My go-to for Valentine’s Day is Charlotte Tilbury’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in the shade ‘The Duchess.’ Named after Kate Middleton (one of my inspirations), this tea-rose pink shade is elegance in lipstick form.
Every time I wear it I feel like royalty and the creamy formula glides onto the lips like a dream! The lipstick has a build-able coverage so you can have a light layer for daytime and intensify it for a sophisticated evening look.
Charming Reads ♡
Having something comforting to read on a pamper evening is essential.
Currently I have been delving into ‘All In Good Taste’ by Kate Spade. This is such a sweet read for Valentine’s Day as there are so many ideas for hosting events and celebrations. If you’re in need of any inspiration you’ll definitely find it inside this book!

Decadent Delights ~ Pink Champagne Truffles ♡
If you wish to indulge in something extra special this month, you can’t go wrong with a box of pink champagne truffles from Charbonnel et Walker. Inside you will uncover a set of dainty white chocolate truffles; each truffle is made with a hint of strawberry, a creamy milk marc de champagne centre, and finished with a dusting of powdered sugar for that extra hint of elegance. The pink keepsake box is so dreamy and fit for Marie Antoinette.
“Will you love me, Derek? Until the day I die?”, “No Odette, much longer, much longer.” ~ The Swan Princess (1994)
Pampering Products ♡
Baylis and Harding always release the dreamiest range for Valentine’s Day and I’m still in love with their Rosé Prosecco gift-set which I purchased last February.
Inside you receive a luxurious body wash and lotion which are scented with a fragrance inspired by prosecco; blackberry and raspberry are the fruity top notes and sweet vanilla is the base note of the set. Both products come inside the prettiest heart-shaped keepsake box which reminds me of a box of chocolates. After using them my skin is delicately scented with a fresh fruit fragrance and the packaging has a scattered hearts design which compliments the romantic details perfectly.
Pink Bow-detail Knits♡
I love to wear my girliest clothes on Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s a feminine Ted Baker dress or a soft cashmere jumper, wearing something pink and adorned with a bow makes my heart happy.
I also own the Ted Baker version but if you don’t wish to splurge £77.00, this is a perfect match!
Unfortunately, New Look no longer stock this jumper but this little beauty from Marisota is just as wonderful! In fact, I think it is a more accurate dupe of the Ted Baker piece with its side-split detailing and pretty bows.
I hope you enjoyed this post fairies! I would love to know how you’re spending the rest of your Valentine’s Day and what your favourite romantic film is? I adore anything with Fred and Ginger Rogers 🎀🌹🌸
lots of love from,
