Hello my frosted fairies! If you have been an avid reader of my blog, you will know that my heart sings when I see anything pink; I naturally gravitate towards this colour and I like to be surrounded by items in this shade.
I feel so grateful to say that I finally own one of the bags of my dreams (my other dream bags are the Lady Dior in ‘Rose Poudre’, the Mulberry Lily in ‘Baby Pink’ and a CHANEL Classic Flap bag in ‘Pink’ tweed with gold hardware)
When I unwrapped this princess pink bag from Ted Baker on Christmas morning I was so overjoyed. It has been on my wish list for over a year but it was constantly out of stock on the Ted Baker website. Now that it’s in my collection, I’m so excited to style it with my other pink items.
Ted Baker is my favourite brand for pieces that are timeless, classic and well-made (the dainty details and pink girliness are an added bonus!) I know that when I purchase or receive something from Ted Baker that it’s going to last. Spending a little bit more on an item is always worth it ~ you pay for high quality materials that are long-lasting and are less likely to show wear.
The bag is made from a top grain leather, making it sturdy and durable. Initially it was the feminine frills on the flap and side of the bag which drew me to the item. In many ways this design mimics the ruffles on the hem of a skirt or a dress.
The rose-pink shade is so dreamy and compliments my wardrobe perfectly. The colour definitely reminds me of Elle Woods but the mini backpack design mirrors the ones worn by Cher Horowitz in Clueless.
Delicate hidden details such as the rose gold hardware are a beautiful touch and they make the bag unique. With a height of 18cm and width of 24cm, the bag isn’t too bulky (I have a tall frame at 5.7′ and it doesn’t look too small on me.) The inside is very spacious but there is still a lot of structure so you don’t need to worry about the bag losing its shape over time.
An additional hint of girliness is uncovered when you open the bag. Inside you will discover a perfectly pretty pink bow design running alongside the flap of the bag.
As a “bag of many talents”, it can be worn as a backpack, cross body or shoulder bag; I adore this multifunctional element because it means that I can wear it during the day and at night.
I can see myself wearing the bag on girly afternoons out at a cafe with my mum, sipping on tea and indulging in macarons!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I’d love to know if you have a favourite piece from Ted Baker?
I’m wishing you a week filled with
Lots of love from
