Hello my frosted fairies! Today I’m sharing my first beauty blog post and I’m delighted to say that the Too Faced ‘Under the Christmas Tree’ palette takes centre stage.
When I laid eyes upon their dreamy Christmas collection, I knew I needed it in my life. Everything looks like it has been sprinkled with pixie dust. Now all I need is my glass slippers and a fairy godmother…that’s not too much to ask for, is it?
Fairytales and sugar-plum fantasies come to life on the cover of Too Faced’s ‘Under the Christmas Tree’ gift set. The palette is encased in a grand, theatre style box and cascading across the packaging are the sweetest illustrations of a snow bunny, a charming pup and gifts wrapped with ribbons.
If the box hasn’t stolen your heart, you are sure to be smitten as a kitten with what’s inside!
Behind a set of golden curtains you will unwrap the prettiest pink velvet palette shaped like a Christmas tree. I adore the tiny gold stars that scatter their way across the candy pink packaging.
Too Faced have also gifted us with a miniature Better Than Sex mascara which leaves your lashes looking fluttery and feminine.
The palette can be divided into three individual compacts which are presented in mint green, pastel pink and lavender shades. It is also magnetised which means that each section of the trio can be placed together and presented neatly.
Everything about this palette exudes luxury and I couldn’t resist displaying it on my vanity.
Alongside the pastel shades featured on the miniature palettes you will find an array of Nutcracker-inspired illustrations of sweet squirrels, elegant swans and bouncing bunnies.
The assortment of shades range from soft, warm neutrals to colours that shimmer and shine.
Too Faced always create the sweetest names for their products and this year they have bestowed each shade with a whimsical name; some of my favourites are… ‘Angel Kisses’, ‘Vanilla Snow’ and ‘Winter Wonderland.’ My favourite shade from the face palette is ‘Christmas Flush’; a frosted shimmery peach colour.
The second eyeshadow showcases a variety of warm neutral tones. My favourite shade would have to be ‘Vanilla Snow’; a milky white matte that would look perfect on the brow bone.
Nevertheless, one of the palettes main downfalls is that the shade names are printed onto a plastic cover instead of the product itself. The final palette houses an assortment of velvety soft neutrals and cool toned shades. The one I can’t wait to wear is ‘Winter Wonderland’; a baby pink shimmer shade with specks of silver glitter.
Since photographing the palette I have tried out a few of the shades and I was delighted to discover that they have a rich, almost buttery, texture which applies like a dream! The pigmentation is on point and I love the way that shades like ‘Unicorns Pull My Sleigh’ (a glittering rose shade), ‘Rockin’ Around’ (a shimmery bronze shade), ‘Angel Kisses’ (a soft gold champagne shade), glisten and glow like falling snow!
Despite my love for the eyeshadows featured inside this whimsical palette, I think that the magical box encasing the palette has truly stolen my heart.
I can see myself holding tightly onto this wondrous gift set for many years to come and I wish that each shade will bring all my ballerina dreams to life…
I hope you enjoyed this post cupcakes. I really enjoy sharing my thoughts about beauty and fashion items so if you want to hear more, please let me know in the comments section if you’d like to see posts like this in the future. I was planning on writing an in-depth post about the Too Faced Christmas Dreams brush set.
P.S if you received this beautiful palette at Christmas, I’d love to know what your favourite shades are!
Lots of love from
