Hello my frosted fawns! I hope you had a wonderful Bonfire Night filled with toffee apples, s’mores, warm woollen mittens and marshmallow hot chocolates. Now that November has arrived and my pink pumpkins are safely tucked away for Halloween next year, the wintry festivities can commence!
So far this month I have written my Christmas list (a few of the items are featured on my blogs wish list page which I recently updated), listened to my ‘Christmas Wishes’ playlist (Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Ribbons and Bows’ & Ari’s ‘Santa Tell Me’ are currently on repeat), I have baked a batch of delicious, wintry cupcakes (a blog post will be up soon), I watched The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at the cinema which was truly magnificent; Misty Copeland’s ballet sequences were mesmerising, the ‘Land of Sweet’s was enchanting and it was the perfect early Christmas gift… ♡
I also finally purchased a pink, glittery Nutcracker ornament which I can’t wait to display in my room. Yesterday I did a little bit of Christmas shopping and I managed to purchase the cutest pink poodle tree ornament and the prettiest ‘Beauty & the Beast’ Belle diffuser in the scent ‘Red Roses.’
After coming home from Saturday’s shopping trip, I put on my fluffy pom pom slippers, made myself a cup of tea in my pink speckled Oliver Bonas mug and watched ‘The Holiday’ 🌸🎄🌸 I felt so festive and cosy 🎀☃️
This month I am looking forward to watching my favourite Christmas films, gazing at the twinkly lights adorning the shops and decorating my bedroom with pretty pink bows, elegant ballerinas, sugar plum fairies, the sweetest candy canes, satin ballet slippers & shimmering snowflakes.
In today’s blog post I am sharing the dreamy items I have purchased over the last month; from sweetly scented candles, beautifully packaged pampering products, adorable Christmas ornaments and a pair of pink pearl knitted gloves that will make any winter outfit look très chic!
Yankee Candle|’Snowflake Cookie’
Each year I purchase a new jar of my favourite Yankee Candle in the scent Snowflake Cookie. It has a dreamy, sugary sweet icing scent and leaves my bedroom selling like a bakery! With notes of fluffy marshmallow, whipped vanilla icing, warm cinnamon and nutmeg, it is definitely my favourite candle for Christmastime.
Mad Beauty |Disney Marie ‘Bows & Whiskers’ Bath Milk
Anyone who knows me well will be aware of my love for Marie from Disney’s ‘Aristocats.’ She is the sassiest, fluffiest kitten and when I set my sights on this bath milk, I couldn’t resist making a little purchase. It is scented with cherry blossom and peonies (my favourite flowers) and leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished.
Home Sense|Christmas Tree Ornaments
Dreamy Christmas ornaments make my heart sing and on my first trip to Homesense, I found the prettiest winter gems. The first two are a set of floral, pastel coloured baubles; they’re so dainty and remind me of Cath Kidston.
The third tree decoration is a graceful ballerina mouse! She is so sweet with her fluffy tutu and ballet slippers. This year I’m styling my tree with a Nutcracker ‘Land of Sweets’ theme and I know that she will fit perfectly amongst the sugar plums, macarons and lollipops!
The final item I picked up was an elegant pastel, church bell ornament with a delicate bird adorning the top. This decoration reminded me so much of the opening scene of Cinderella (1950), when Cinderella is singing along with the birds to ‘A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.’
Home Sense| ‘Pumpkin Brûlée’ Candle
Girly candles are my weakness and I just adore the pink and gold packaging encasing this candle from HomeSense. The candle smells like a cosy autumnal dessert with the dreamy fragrance of cinnamon, sugar and cream!
Katie Loxton|Pink Pearl Cable Knit Gloves
Last winter I purchased a pair of pink bow-detail gloves from Kate Spade to match my bow scarf. When I saw this set of pink cable knit gloves on the Katie Loxton website, I immediately added them to my basket.
I’m always on the look out for new pampering treats and on my recent trip to Boots I picked up the Umberto Giannini ‘Miracle Worker Smooth Serum.’ After styling my hair, I find that I need to tame quite a few fly aways and this product creates a smooth and glossy look. I usually apply this serum after washing my hair, allowing it to dry naturally. I find that the argan oil nourishes and protects my hair from heat damage.
The second item I picked up was the Soap and Glory ‘The Daily Soothe: Bath Float.’ I used this product in the bath the other day and it creates the dreamiest, fluffiest bubbles! With fragrant notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk it creates a relaxing and soothing lullaby of scents, helping you drift off to sleep.
Matalan|Snowflake Ballerina Ornament
Last Thursday evening, me and my mum went on a little spontaneous shopping trip and we managed to find this dainty ballerina tree ornament.
Its white, fluffy tulle skirt reminded me of the Waltz of the Snowflakes in the Nutcracker and I couldn’t leave it behind.
I hope you enjoyed this wintry collective haul sparkling snowflakes! I know that it may seem quite early but I’m very eager to start planning my Christmas content. Consequently, I’d love to know what you’d like to see? From recipes, decorations, DIY’s, gift-guides, Christmas shopping, my evening at The Nutcracker ballet; just let me know in the comments section below 🌸🍥❄️
P.S what are your favourite things about winter? Mine would have to be… ice-skating, baking gingerbread, wearing pastel knitwear, fluffy mittens, my bow UGG boots & pom-pom hats, seeing ‘The Nutcracker’, decorating my tree with ballerina ornaments, using my ‘Snowflake Cookie’ candle & LUSH’s ‘Snow Fairy’ ☁️🎀⛸🍬🍪
I’m sending lots of love to you all and I hope you’re having a magical Sunday evening filled with white chocolate sugar mice, peppermint candy canes and toffee nut lattes! ☁️🍂🌸☕️
